Anaun volcano is located in central Kamchatka, in the southern Sredinny Range. Two chains of cinder cones extend from the volcano.
Andesites make up summit the top part of the volcano. The volcano shows erosion of volcanic edifice in the north and north-west of the summit. Large areas of the original slopes are preserved on the other flanks.
