Biliran volcano is located on Biliran Island off the western coast of Leyte Island. The volcano lies at the northern end of a 170 km long chain of volcanoes extending SSE to Panaon Island.

Hot springs, bubbling pool and thermal areas are at the volcano.

1939 Eruption
The only recorded eruption at the volcano occurred on 26th September 1939.
Ashfall was measured at Caibiran 12 km to the east.
