Boina volcano is located on the shore of lake Abbe in western Djibouti, 2 km from the border with Ethiopia. The volcano position has been incorrectly marked on some earlier maps.
The volcano contains roaring fumaroles, which are located 1 km from the NW shore of Lake Abbe (Lake Abhe).
