Note: there is another volcano in Ethiopia called Borawli.

The volcano is located on the eastern shore of Lake Afrera (Lake Giulietti), Afar region, Ethiopia. The volcano is situated at the SE end of the Erta Ale Range.

Lake Afdera

Lava flows from the volcano have reached the shore of Lake Afrera.
