Fourpeaked volcano is located in NE Katmai National Park, at northeastern end of the Alaska Peninsula.

2006 Eruption
The first historic eruption of Fourpeaked volcano occurred on 17th September 2006. Plumes were visible rising from the Cape Douglas area, and reached 6 km altitude in the first hour. Traces of ash fell at Nonvianuk Lake outlet (110 km WNW) and near Homer (150 km NE). On 23rd September a line of of vents were visible extending north from the summit for about 1 km. Most vents vigorously emitted sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide.
