Seek professional medical advice and insurance before traveling to Vanuatu.

Malaria	Vanuatu is a malarial zone.
Immunisations	Check that you immunisation status. Hep A, B, Tetanus, Polio etc.
Water purification	Outer islands may have infected water.
Sunburn	Vanuatu is a tropical country and sunburn can easily occur.
Cuts, bites, stings	Cuts can get easily infected in the tropics. Extreme care should be taken with broken skin. There are many plants and animals which can cause problems.
Fungal infections	Fungal infections are common in the tropical environment.
Food poisoning / indigestion	A change of diet may cause a change in digestive function. Both food poisoning, and general discomfort are a possibility when exposed to new foods.
