Kendang volcano is located 8 km north of Papandayan volcano, in west Java, Indonesia. The volcano contains four fumarole fields. The most recent eruption at the volcano consisted of a rhyolitic lava dome and obsidian lava flows.

Kawah Manuk
This fumarole field is the largest at the volcano and consists of solfatara, mud pools, and hot water pools in a 2.75-km-wide crater-like depression.

Darajat geothermal field
The geothermal activity is located on the eastern flank of Kendang volcano.
