Ketoi Volcano is located 20 km NE of Simushir Island in the Kurile Islands. Lake Malakhitovoye is 1.5 km in diameter and occupies an explosion crater.

Strong fumarolic activity was observed on the northern flank of Pallas Peak in the 1980's.
