Karimkotan volcano is located in northern Kurile Islands, Russia. It is located on the island of Karimkotan which is 8 x 12 km in diameter.

1933 Eruption
The eruption in 1933 was one of the largest in the Kurile Islands. The eruption produced a tsunami which reached Onekotan and Paramushir Islands, killing two people. The eruption destroyed Severgin cone.
