Kyatwa volcano is located in western Uganda, east of the Ruwenzori Mountains.
The volcano is located halfway between Lake Edward and Lake Albert, and consists of tuff cones and lake-filled maars.

2009 Earthquake
A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit under the volcano on Sunday, 18th October 2009 at 03:39 am. Location 0.460°N, 30.173°E, depth 13 km.
