Ambrym Volcano, Vanuatu
Ambrym volcano remains at level 2 alert. This means the volcano is
unstable and caution is advised for visitors viewing near the
craters. Active lava lakes remain in Benbow and Mbwelesu craters.

A magnitude 7.9 earthquake occurred 52 km SSW of Ambitle volcano on
17th December 2016. A tsunami threat was issues for coastal areas of
Papua New Guinea.

Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii
Kilauea volcano continues to erupt at two locations. A summit lava
lake in continues to be active in a vent of Halemaumau crater. On
the east rift zone, lava is entering the ocean at Kamokuna on the SE
side of the volcano.

Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii
Lava continues to enter the ocean at Kamokuna. Small collapses
occurred at the ocean entry this week, with the possibility of
further collapses at east Kamokuna lava delta. A lava lake remains
active in Halemaumau summit crater.

summit of Soputan volcano, Indonesia and extended 55 nautical miles
southwest to an altitude of 13,000 ft.

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred 25 km north of Augustine
volcano on 24 January 2016. Earthquakes of this magnitude have the
ability to disrupt volcanoes within a radius of hundreds of
kilometres from the epicentre. Augustine volcano is currently at the
lowest alert status green.
