The volcano is located one mile north of Robertson Island, off the E coast of Antarctic Peninsula.
In 1893 Captain Larsen ofr the ship "Jason" reported volcanic activity.

Lindenberg Island (1.6 km diameter) is located 8 miles north of Robertson Island and was reported to emit black smoke in 1893.
