Olympus Mons is the largest volcano in the solar system. It is several times larger than Mauna Loa in Hawaii which is earth's largest volcano.

Olympus Mons is located in Tharsis volcanic province. It rises 23 kilometres above the surrounding terrain and is 600 km across. The volcano is possibly the youngest volcanic feature on Mars.

Olympus Mons contains six nested craters which have shown signs of multiple collapse of the summit area.
