Tajumulco is the highest volcano in central America and the highest mountain in Guatemala.
The volcano contains two cones. The lower wester cone doesn't contain a crater.
The higher eastern cone has a 50 m diameter crater.

Tajumulco has had several unconfirmed reports of historical eruptions.
