Wandan Mud Volcano - John Seach

Wandan mud volcano is located in southern Taiwan. The volcano usually erupts about twice per year.

Over the years the eruptions have been moving south. Previously eruptions occurred at the summit of Liyu Hill north of Huang Yuan Holy Temple.

2011 Eruption
Wandan mud volcano erupted on 3rd December 2011. Residents ignited the volcano hoping to end the eruption. The eruption occurred in a cemetary and covered graves with mud and ejecta.
